Ford’s Fish Shack — the popular seafood restaurant with three brick-and-mortar locations around Loudoun County — is expanding to western Loudoun with a new mobile food truck.

The mobile unit will be stationed in Hillsboro, a small town of roughly 170 or so residents located about five miles north of Purcellville. The historic community — dating back to the 1700s — offers up a summer schedule filled with concerts, festivals, a new farmers market, and more.

The exact location for the Ford’s truck will be at the town’s Old Stone School Millstone Plaza.

There will be online ordering available, so residents around the area can order in advance and then swing by the plaza to pick up their food — whether to enjoy it there on the spot, or take it home or to winery, park, or other venue.

The new “Ford’s on the Road” — as the mobile unit is called — will be open in Hillsboro Friday through Sunday for the rest of this month, and then Thursday through Sunday starting in June.

Along with the Ford’s truck, the Moo-Thru ice cream truck will also continue to be a regular at Millstone Plaza this summer.

This is the second mobile unit for Ford’s Fish Shack. As you can see in the photo, the new Hillsboro truck is now known as the blue truck. The restaurant also has a red truck that goes out to wineries, breweries, and private events.
